What is Fairy Tail 100 Years Quest about?
Fairy Tail 100 Years Quest is the sequel to Hiro Mashima’s popular manga series, Fairy Tail.
Written and storyboarded by Mashima and illustrated by Atsuo Ueda, this new series launched on Kodansha’s manga app on July 25, 2018, and is licensed by Kodansha USA for its English release in North America.
An anime adaptation of the series was announced on September 11, 2021, by the Japanese animation studio J.C. Staff.
The story picks up a year after Natsu and his friends from the Fairy Tail guild defeated the evil Zeref and the mighty dragon Acnologia. Now, they are ready for their next adventure — the legendary 100 Years Quest on the continent of Guiltina, a mission that no one has completed in over a century.
Their task is to seal the Five Dragon Gods, incredibly powerful dragons whose strength rivals even Acnologia. If left unchecked, these dragons could cause widespread destruction.
As they embark on this dangerous mission, the guild welcomes a new member, Touka, who is possessed by a cunning witch who has plans to harness the Dragon Gods’ power for evil purposes.
Natsu and his team must seal the dragons and contend with this hidden threat within their guild.
