Oshi no Ko Season 2 episode 7
Episode 7, “Sun,” continued the Tokyo Blade 2.5D stage play, with the story progressing as the Shinjuku faction advanced through the Shibuya faction’s territory.
The play highlights the different ongoing battles. At center stage are Kana and Akane, finally having their first confrontation.
As the two actors deliver strong performances, Akane remembers her first encounter with Kana.
As a child, Akane idolized Kana as one of the best young actors at the time. She even mirrored her appearance and joined acting contests that featured Kana.
However, at this time, Kana had already been struggling to get good roles that allowed her to showcase her talents as a young actor.
In their first encounter, Kana told Akane that what happens behind the scenes is predetermined and everyone should follow the status quo, pushing Akane to pursue a psychological approach to acting.
This led Akane to believe that to perform well, you need to be egotistical and try to outshine the other actors on the scene.
Meanwhile, Kana thinks that being a good actor is all about knowing your role and being able to uplift those around you, even if it means taking a supporting role.
Dissatisfied with Kana’s performance, Akane wants to draw out the best in Kana, and enlists Aqua to help her make this happen.
The episode ends with Akane and Aqua stepping onto the stage as they are set to perform with Kana and Taiki Himekawa, the actor playing Blade, the main protagonist of Tokyo Blade.
