Esports World Cup 2024 Counter-Strike 2 format
The CS2 Esports World Cup unfolds in three stages, each designed to whittle down the competition and ultimately crown the champion.
All teams except JiJieHao start the tournament in the opening stage’s single-elimination bracket. To advance to the playoffs, teams must win a best-of-three match, while losers get a second chance in the play-in stage.
The tournament’s second phase is the play-ins, where eight teams compete in a single-elimination bracket with best-of-one matches. The winner of the play-ins advances to the playoffs.
The final leg of the tournament, the playoffs, is a single-elimination bracket with all matches, including the grand final, being a best-of-three.
