Chronophage is a craftable weapon with multiple decent perk options for its god roll. Hence, if you’re running a Void build and are interested in using a new Trace Rifle that synergizes with Void abilities, you’re in the right place. Stability is vital for any Trace Rifle, which is why we recommend Small Bore for the Barrel. It will also increase the weapon’s range which should come in handy when targeting distant enemies.
Tactical Battery will further increase Stability alongside Range and Reload Speed. Trace Rifles have large magazines like Machine Guns and take longer to reload, so increasing reload speed is always a good idea.
For the third and fourth-column perks, we recommend the combination of Replusor Brace and Destabilizing Rounds or Shoot to Loot and Desperate Measures.
Destabilizing Rounds can make enemies Volatile, and thanks to Replusor Brace, you can gain an overshield by defeating those Volatile enemies. We found this combination particularly effective when tackling endgame activities like Legendary Lost Sectors.
Desperate Measures is one of the best damage-boosting perks in the current meta, so it’s a great pick if you just want to increase Chronophage’s raw power. You can pair it up with Shoot to Loot, which can conveniently reload all your weapons.
For Masterwork, we recommend Stability because you would benefit more from this than Range in PvE.

Small Bore is the best option for Barrel in PvP because of increased Range and Stability.
For Battery, however, we recommend Enhanced Battery for increased Magazine size. A larger Magazine in PvP, especially for special weapons, can be game-changing.
For the main perks, we recommend Elemental Capacitor and High Ground. It doesn’t matter what Super ability you use, Elemental Capacitor will increase this weapon’s efficiency in a way that benefits you during PvP.
High Ground can boost damage, and since Crucible maps are brimming with high grounds, you can easily proc this buff and gain a significant advantage over other players.
For Masterwork, you should go with Range to ensure distant players don’t miss out on Chronophage’s deadly laser beams.
