Starfield Shattered Space release date and countdown time
The Starfield: Shattered Space DLC will officially be released on September 30, 2024, on Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC.
Although the exact timing hasn’t been revealed yet, we expect it to go live at around 11 a.m. ET, based on the previous updates. If it turns out to be true, Starfield Shattered Space DLC will launch at the following times in your region:

Starfield Shattered Space’s new content and features
As mentioned earlier, the Shattered Space is going to be the first major expansion for Starfield. According to the announcements so far, the upcoming expansion pack is set to bring more than 50 all-new locations across Va’ruun’kai.
In fact, craftable grenades will also be introduced in the game that you can use to fight against new bosses such as Redeemed and Vortex Horrors.
When it comes to storyline, the majority of your interactions with House Va’ruun in the base game were in the form of attacks from zealots. When Shattered Space arrives, you’ll see the other side and discover the rest of the secrets.
Is Starfield Shattered Space free?
Starfield: Shattered Space is a paid expansion pack that you can purchase for $29.99 from Steam and Xbox store. The pre-orders for this DLC have already gone but it is not free for current owners of Starfield unless they have the Premium or Constellation editions which include the DLC at no additional cost.
Is Shattered Space on Game Pass?
If you have the base game through Game Pass and want to play Shattered Space, you’ll need to buy the DLC outright or upgrade to the Premium Edition. Thankfully, Game Pass allows you to directly upgrade to the premium edition for $34.99. Therefore, we recommend purchasing that instead of DLC since you’re getting a variety of other benefits including the Shattered Space expansion pack as well.
