They’re not for everyone.
The Haunting event has returned to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone, bringing spooky-themed content for players to enjoy.
A notable feature of the event is the jumpscares that can occur while looting. However, some players aren’t fans of these and are looking for a way to disable them.
If you’re in the same boat, don’t worry, as we will explain how to turn off jumpscares in Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone.
How to turn off jumpscares in MW3 and Warzone
Jumpscares in Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone add a fun and unexpected twist to the gameplay, often catching players off guard while they’re busy looting for weapons and equipment.
These sudden surprises can happen to anyone at any time, though they most commonly occur when opening a crate.
While jumpscares can be entertaining and improve the intensity of the game, they aren’t for everyone. For some players, they can be more of a distraction than a thrill, which can ruin their gameplay experience.
In the past, there was no way to disable them, leaving players with no option but to endure the sudden shocks. However, Activision has now introduced an option in the in-game settings.
- Go to the main menu and access the settings.
- Click on Accessibility Presets. This can be found at the top.
- Scroll through the settings and find Disable Jump Scares.
- Click on the toggle button to turn the feature off.
Once disabled, jumpscares will no longer occur while you’re playing, allowing you to loot without the fear of sudden loud noises or unexpected visuals when opening a crate.
If you change your mind after a while and want them back, you can simply go back to the settings, access the Accessibility Presets, and enable jumpscares from there.
This was everything you needed to know about how to turn off jumpscares in Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone.
