Still worth being excited about!
The much anticipated FNAF collaboration has finally been announced officially but there’s a huge twist.
Over the past few days, several rumors on the internet were spreading like wildfire claiming that Fortnite is finally teaming up with the Five Nights at Freddy’s to bring an array of FNAF-themed cosmetic items to the battle royale title.
The most astonishing moment came when the Fortnite community ramped up the excitement after creator Scott Cawthon hinted at a huge collaboration he would reveal on August 5.
Dead By Daylight FNAF collab announced, surprising some
However, the hype train turned into a massive disappointment when it was officially confirmed that Five Nights at Freddy’s is collaborating with Dead by Daylight, instead of Fortnite.
Although the exact date of the Dead By Daylight FNAF collab hasn’t been confirmed yet but it’s been officially announced that it will go live in the Summer of 2025.
This news has certainly shifted the spotlight, as players now look forward to how the eerie and thrilling world of FNAF will blend with the already intense atmosphere of Dead by Daylight.
However, it’s not the first time when this multiplayer survival horror has teamed up with a big franchise. In the past, Dead by Daylight has released several major collaborations like Dungeons and Dragons, Lara Croft, and even Stranger Things.
Fortnite x FNAF…maybe in the future?
But, as you may have noticed earlier, the FNAF x Dead By Daylight crossover isn’t happening before 2025, meaning players have to hold their excitement until the coming Summer.
Coming back to Fortnite, the community was not so happy after this announcement, as many players have been requesting this collaboration for years.
While some users are enjoying this moment by flooding memes on the internet, the rest are still optimistic that Epic Games will convince Five Nights at Freddy’s creators for this spooky partnership before 2025.
