PashaBiceps becomes an ambassador for LV Bet
Jarosław "pashaBiceps" Jarząbkowski, one of the most recognisable names in the Counter-Strike scene, was revealed as a new esports betting ambassador for a betting website LV Bet earlier this weekend.
PashaBiceps, a former member of Virtus.pro Counter-Strike: Global Offensive team has reportedly signed a deal with LV Bet to become one of their esports betting ambassadors. It was also revealed he will not only play the role of an ambassador but also be heavily involved in the marketing and advertisements of the esports betting website.
LV Bet are a bookmaker that facilitates online betting in sports and have just recently dipped their toes in the esports betting as well. The company has a betting licence in Malta and are the official betting partners of the Vanarama National League, which is a fifth division of the English football league and the highest level of the National League System in English football.
While LV Bet offers esports betting, the only esport available on the site as of today is CS:GO. That being said, LV Bet announced they will be looking to change that soon and add more esports titles in the near future in order to keep the pace with the growing industry of esports betting.
“We are pleased to take this exciting next step into the world of esports so quickly. We have one of the most popular esports players in the world playing in our team,” stated Łukasz Kieza, head of marketing at LV BET.
“Our players are becoming more and more active in the field of esports every month. Thanks to this, we at LV BET, are able not only to develop our product but also expand our activities in new markets, which can undoubtedly include esports.”
The decision of bringing pashaBiceps on board is a massive move for LV Bet, who secured one of the most well-known names in not only the Counter-Strike scene but one of the most recognisable names in the esports world as a whole.
Pasha Biceps made a name for himself with his remarkable achievements during his Counter-Strike 1.6 years where he was a part of “Golden Five”, which was a group of Polish players who dominated the Counter-Strike 1.6 scene from 2006 to 2008.
Golden Five consisted of Wiktor "TaZ" Wojtas, Filip "NEO" Kubski, Łukasz "LUq" Wnęk, Mariusz "Loord" Cybulski, Jakub "kuben" Gurczyński, Filip "pionas" Pionka and pashaBiceps.
Out of the seven, however, only five remain active in the CS:GO scene, as both pionas and LUq retired in 2011 and 2010 respectively.
Kuben was formerly a coach of Virtus.pro before the organization acquired AVANGAR roster, while Loord remains the head coach of ARCY, which is also a team where TaZ plays as an IGL. NEO is currently a substitute for FaZe Clan, while pashaBiceps remains without a team after he left AGO in September.
The Polish group played under many names including ESC Gaming, Frag eXecutors, AGAiN, Meet Your Makers and Team Pentagram, before they joined up with Virtus.pro in January 2014, where they won ESL Major Series One Katowice 2014.
While the Katowice Major title is pashaBiceps’ biggest achievement in his career, it is only a fraction of his career feats, which include over 40 event titles and over $600,000 in prize winnings.
With the signing of pashaBiceps, LV Bet acquired one of the biggest names in the esports scene, which is a massive move for the company and their recognition. PashaBiceps became the second member of a CIS team to sign an ambassadorship, following Virtus.pro's Dota 2 player Roman “RAMZES666” Kushnarev, who signed a deal with Head & Shoulders in September 2018.
