What is Blue Lock season 2 about?
Blue Lock season 1 follows the story of Isagi Yoichi, a young striker who joins the Blue Lock program to become the best striker in the world.
The first season aired from October 9, 2022, to March 26, 2023, spanning 24 episodes. It covered chapters 1 to 94 of the manga.
Season 1 included three arcs — the Introduction, First Selection, and Second Selection, and concluded with the start of the Third Selection arc.
At the beginning of the series, 300 aspiring Japanese forwards enter the Blue Lock program. By the end of season 1, only 35 players remain.
Jinpachi Ego, the mastermind behind Blue Lock, reveals that the next challenge is a match against Japan’s U-20 team, which includes Sae Itoshi, Rin Itoshi’s brother.
If Blue Lock loses, the program will be shut down. However, if they win, they will represent Japan as the new U-20 national team.
