Team Liquid’s mid laner APA has a bit of a reputation for smack-talking before and during League of Legends games on-stage. He put that reputation on the line today by taking some playful shots at Chinese LPL runners-up Top Esports but was immediately shot down by the team’s veteran jungler Tian, who told the second-year pro to kindly “shut up.”  Before today’s bracket-opening series against Top Esports at MSI 2024, APA tried to employ his now-signature trash talk tactic against the LPL juggernauts, reportedly taking jabs at his lane opponent, Creme, in the pre-game lobby. According to a post-series interview…

G2 Esports won’t compete with their complete Counter-Strike 2 roster at IEM Dallas 2024 after their in-game leader HooXi was been ruled out. His substitution, however, could reportedly be a North American great. The role will be filled by no other than Stewie2K, a rifler who recently returned to competing with Legacy. The player is reportedly one of the options for G2, according to Dust2.us. Stewie2K spiced up the rumors by posting on X (formerly Twitter) about how Dallas could be a fun, short trip. It’s about to be even more fun…Cali —> Dallas should be a short trip, right…

LCS veteran Licorice is making a comeback in the North American league in time for the next split, hailing himself the “best top laner” in Dignitas’ announcement video.  “Last (LCS 2023) Summer Split, I was the best top laner in the league. I don’t see any reason why that should be different this time,” Licorice said. Golden Guardian reached new heights with Licorice on their side. Photo by Colin Young-Wolff via Riot Games The Canadian top laner played for Golden Guardian for two years and delivered top-notch performances. He took the team to the 2023 LCS Spring Split finals, where they fell short against Cloud9. GG finished second in the LCS…

Faker and Jensen’s rivalry in the mid lane dates back to the golden League of Legends ages, where both the players have faced each other many times, leading to only one outcome—Faker’s all-out domination.  Out of the last 10 encounters, Faker has won all of them and Jensen is yet to win a single match against the Korean Azir. The rivalry started with Jensen sending a tweet in 2016 before playing Faker saying, “can’t wait to clap faker :D.” That tweet has aged terribly, as T1 stomped over FlyQuest in record time, completing LoL’s fastest-ever international best-of-three at the 2024 Mid-Season Invitational in Chengdu, China. Blast, a respected organizer known for hosting major tournaments for CS2, is going all-out on Valve’s other flagship—Dota 2. This comes several years after Blast was last seen hosting something Dota-related, and it may be a signal of bigger things to come. Blast announced its return to Valve’s flagship MOBA today, May 8, claiming it’s “shaking up the Dota 2 scene like a well-timed Earthshaker,” with an accompanying 15-second teaser on YouTube. All we know so far is that Blast aims to host its first Dota 2 tournament later this year and intends for it to stretch from Nov. 26…

GAM Esports has been representing their region on international stages consistently since the 2022 League of Legends World Championship, and it was no different for the 2024 Mid-Season Invitational. But regional issues have hindered the performance of the team more than once, and now their historic jungler calls for Riot’s support to see VCS grow bigger and better. Ahead of their last match at MSI, GAM’s jungler, Đỗ “Levi” Duy Khánh, opened up about the team’s challenges at MSI, the consequences of the 2024 match-fixing investigations in VCS, and the absence of a LAN event in the region.  GAM Esports before…
