While some teams have yet to announce coaches or substitutes, all that’s left now is to wait until January 24 for the CDL’s launch weekend in Minnesota. Although, with every team now confirmed and practicing together, it’s fair to wonder which rosters hold the edge against the others. Today, we’ll be ranking each Call of Duty League team based on talent and current performance in scrimmages. Keep in mind,…
Should Apex Legends feature skill-based matchmaking? One of the hottest topics in the gaming community right now is skill-based matchmaking (SBMM). From Call of Duty to Fortnite to Apex Legends, SBMM is seemingly in every popular multiplayer title. Though developers believe it helps retain a particular player base, the mechanic is alienating a solid portion of their community, especially in Apex Legends. Once an enjoyable run-and-gun shooter, Apex public matches are now a nightmare for most players. While some other factors play a role, skill-based matchmaking is mostly to blame. So, this begs the question, should skill-based matchmaking be in…

Taking a look at the Modern Warfare Season 1 Battle Pass With the Season 1 update looming, coming December 3, there’s still a lot of unknown in terms of what the Battle Pass will hold. We know some of the rewards that will be featured but have no idea to what capacity. It’s expected that Infinity Ward will somewhat follow Call of Duty Mobile’s model they’ve implemented. There will be a Free and Premium version that offers different rewards like COD Mobile, with the Premium, costing $10, giving more advanced items. Although, the Free version won’t hinder those who choose…

Of course, some things could change in the future but for now, his retirement is final. Apex Legends introducing Friendly Firing Range, overhauling rank progression While it’s torrid start is certainly in the rearview mirror, Apex Legends looks to be turning things around before 2020. One of the main gripes among players has been the lack of content/ranks throughout the three seasons. Though developers Respawn step it up with every new season, there’s still a quality the game lacks. Most high-profile streamers can’t find enjoyment in the game for more than a week or whenever they reach max rank. However, in an upcoming update, that will be changing, along with some other things. Rank progression…
Which Call of Duty League team has the upper hand so far? We’re a little over a month into Modern Warfare and each Call of Duty League team has been practicing vigorously. Day in and day out, every CDL roster hops on and scrimmages Hardpoint and Domination all day long. However, when day turns to night, most players turn their attention to Search and Destroy tournaments to improve in that game mode. Although most professionals don’t play with others from their team, it’s the practice that counts. With everyone now caught up and grinding daily, there’s bound to be a…
