An extra mod slot can make a significant difference.
Wondering where to find Destiny 2 Artifice Armor? These highly sought-after armor pieces are perfect for any build and are some of the best items in Bungie’s looter shooter.
However, acquiring them can be a challenge as the game doesn’t provide clear instructions on where to find them or which dungeons to conquer.
Destiny 2 Artifice Armor can only be obtained in Master-difficulty dungeons including Grasp of Avarice, Spire of the Watcher, and the dreamlike Duality dungeon.
In this article, we’ll provide a guide on the best strategies to tackle these dungeons and what you need to bring in each one to secure an Artifice Armor drop.
What is the function of Destiny 2 Artifice Armor?
Artifice Armor includes an extra mod slot that also provides a +3 upgrade on any character stat of your choice (ie. Mobility, Resilience, Recovery, etc.). Given that there are five armor slots (instead of the usual four), these stat boosts can accumulate quite rapidly.
However, Destiny 2 Artifice Armor is extremely difficult to acquire and is only available to the most committed Guardians. Here are all the dungeons that offer Artifice Armor loot drops.
Dungeons for Destiny 2 Artifice Armor
To secure Destiny 2 Artifice Armor, you need to earn loot rewards from Grasp of Avarice, Spire of the Watcher, and the Duality dungeon on Master difficulty.
Although you only need to focus on three dungeons, these are some of the most challenging missions in Destiny 2 and are not accessible in the free-to-play version.
It’s crucial to note that you can’t acquire the Artifice version of an armor piece you don’t currently possess. In other words, it’s impossible to grind for the entire Artifice “Twisting Echo Suit” set if you’ve only found its helmet.
So, try to complete your armor collection in Normal mode before attempting to grind for Artifice Armor.
Grasp of the Avarice
To earn Artifice Armor in Grasp of the Avarice, you’ll need to have the 30th Anniversary Pack. This will allow you to claim all of the rewards and also get you some premium loot, so keep an eye out for future sales!
Another advantage of grinding Grasp is the double loot drops from its final boss encounter, as seen below:
To access the other two Artifice Armor dungeons, you’ll need The Witch Queen Dungeon Key add-on, which is available in the Eververse store.
The Spire of the Watcher is played with a 3-man Fireteam, and it is highly recommended that each player has a power level of 1600 or higher.
Fortunately, Spire doesn’t have a time limit on the final stage, so you won’t be under pressure to get your Artifice Armor.
Duality Dungeon
The last on our list is the Duality Dungeon, a Season 17 dungeon that offers a drop chance for Destiny 2 Artifice Armor.
Once you get the Witch Queen Dungeon Key, you’ll still need to wait until Duality becomes available once in the weekly dungeon rotations.
Void-shielded Bellkeepers, unpredictable Champions, and a time limit all make the Duality Dungeon a significant challenge.
So, bring your Void weapons, adjust your loadouts to the enemies that appear, and increase your sustain before battling Caiatl in the final stage.
