Money doesn’t earn you Prestige Points… technically.
MultiVersus is finally out of open beta, and a lot has changed, including the currency needed to acquire rare items.
MultiVersus Prestige Points get you the best cosmetics in the game, but how do you earn them?
After a heavily hyped open beta in 2023, MultiVersus finally became available for all on May 28, 2024. Those who played the game in the beta will be surprised to see how much has changed in a year.
From more wild crossovers to new currencies, MultiVersus is better than ever. Alongside the traditional battle passes and regular items, players now have the opportunity to acquire the most elusive MultiVersus skins.
However, it’s important to note that these MultiVersus Prestige Points can not be obtained directly through real money.
What are MultiVersus Prestige Points?
Prestige Points is a currency in MultiVersus. This currency can then be used in the Prestige Store, which offers valuable and highly rare fighter cosmetics.
Once you have gathered enough currency, scroll down to the game’s main menu until you find the Prestige shop.
You can purchase new fighters, skin variants, taunts, Ring Out, banners, or announcer packs here.
Since MultiVersusPrestige Points are hard to acquire, it’s recommended to save them up and use them wisely. Keep a close eye on the Prestige store, which rotates out regularly, and use the points when your desired item is finally available.
How to get Prestige Points in MultiVersus
Prestige Points are rewarded each time you purchase or unlock a cosmetic item in MultiVersus. Of course, completing the battle pass is the easiest way to do that.
MultiVersus battle passes are typically packed with mouth-watering items that can also earn you Prestige Points. For that, you need to play the game and make sure you unlock all rewards to maximize Prestige earnings.
Another way you can earn MultiVersus Prestige Points by buying cosmetics from the regular in-game store.
But it’s worth noting here that the Prestige Points drop is not consistent for all cosmetics. Some items may drop more points due to their rarity.
To get the highest number of points, aim for the rarest cosmetics. Here are all the cosmetic tiers in MultiVersus from low to high rarity:
- Common
- Uncommon
- Rare
- Epic
- Legendary
