What is Wuthering Waves?
Wuthering Waves is an open-world action RPG that releases on May 22, 2024. Developed by Kuro Games, it features a story-rich world and free-to-play model. The game draws comparisons to titles like Genshin Impact, offering a vast world to explore.
In Wuthering Waves, you take on the role of a Rover who awakens in a post-apocalyptic world called Solaris-3. You’ll team up with other characters called Resonators, each with unique abilities, to uncover your lost memories and fight off enemies.
Exploration is a big focus, with the world offering secrets to discover, puzzles to solve, and powerful monsters to conquer. The game also features gacha mechanics, where you can collect new characters to add to your party.
What platforms is Wuthering Waves available on?
Wuthering Waves is playable on PC and mobile (iOS and Android), with future console releases planned.
What is controller support in video games?
Controller support in video games basically means a game can be played comfortably with a gamepad instead of a keyboard and mouse.
This is common for console games, where you wouldn’t have the option to use a keyboard and mouse anyway.
On PC, some games are designed specifically for controllers, like racing games where using a joystick might feel more natural than steering with arrow keys. Other games offer controller support as an alternative for players who prefer the feel of a gamepad.
Is there Wuthering Waves controller support?
Yes, Wuthering Waves has controller support.
Initially, the game did not offer Wuthering Waves controller support during its previous closed beta tests. However, in response to player feedback, Kuro Games announced during a special broadcast in March 2024 that they have added Wuthering Waves controller support.
“We are largely done with the gamepad controller support and customizable key settings for Wuthering Waves,” said Dong from the Wuthering Waves development team.
“On top of that, we will continuously work on improving your combat experience on various platforms.”
