Nexon Games’ highly popular, free-to-play looter-shooter will get a new season next month.
Season 2 will introduce new playable characters, cosmetic items, endgame features, and a plethora of quality-of-life improvements, among other things.
Whether you’re a veteran playing the game since its launch in July or a newcomer planning to hop in the next season, there’s plenty to look forward to in the upcoming season.
What to expect from The First Descendant season 2?
Season 2 will add two new Descendants. While their names, abilities, and appearances have yet to be revealed, Nexon have confirmed that there will be a male and female character.
Additionally, there will be notable changes to character customization. For instance, you can now dye your character’s hair. New alternative hairstyle options are also coming, though we don’t know if they will be general or unique to each Descendant.
Most importantly, the second season will add a “target reward” system, allowing you to earn guaranteed rewards from a mission after making a specific number of attempts. If RNG gods are never on your side, this is something you could benefit from.
If you’re a new player and a solo one, there’s good news. Nexon is lowering the difficulty of the early story missions in the game and making it easier to farm early-game Descendants like Gley.
Lastly, you can expect new endgame bosses and Ultimate versions of existing Descendants in the upcoming season.
The First Descendant season 2 release date
The First Descendant season 2 will be released on December 5, 2024.
As of this writing, Nexon Games have not revealed the end time for season 2, though if season 1 is any indication, it will likely conclude on March 6, 2025.
