Wong “JayH” Heng, a member of Disguised’s VALORANT team, has been provisionally suspended from the VCT Challengers Malaysia and Singapore circuit due to allegations of match-fixing. The announcement was made on X (formerly Twitter) on April 30 by the tournament organizer, following a comprehensive compliance review that suggested JayH’s potential involvement in match-fixing prior to the VALORANT Challengers Malaysia and Singapore. The official statement was shared via @valesports_mysg on X.
The statement read, “We are issuing a provisional suspension on JayH from participating in all Riot Games esports, including official and third party tournaments, effective immediately until further notice, pending further review and adjudication.” The importance of maintaining the integrity of the tournament was also emphasized. The statement also expressed gratitude to the “vigilant members of our community” who brought the issue to their attention.
JayH has responded to these allegations, denying any involvement in match-fixing and expressing concern that the investigation was conducted without his knowledge. He stated, “These allegations will severely damage my reputation, especially since no due diligence was done in even contacting me to investigate beforehand.” In a subsequent tweet, JayH confirmed that he is currently in communication with the tournament organizer about the issue, reiterating his denial of any involvement in match-fixing.
While match-fixing is a serious offense, JayH’s concerns about potential damage to his reputation are valid if he is indeed innocent. The dates for the second split of VALORANT Challengers Malaysia and Singapore have not yet been announced, giving Disguised some time to address the situation.
