Riot unveil All-pro team for 2020 LPL Spring Split
Riot Games has unveiled the All-pro team for League of Legends Pro League (LPL) 2020 Spring Split, featuring a quintet of the best-performing players from one of the strongest LoL leagues in the world.
Some of the names in the 2020 LPL Spring Split All-pro team might not come as a shock to anyone, given their popularity and the renown they have gained as some of the most gifted League of Legends players in the world, however, unlike most other All-pro teams from other regions, the LPL All-pro team also features a few lesser-known names, who have undoubtedly deserved their spot in the team.
Starting from the top lane, the 2020 LPL Spring Split All-pro team features Kang "TheShy" Seung-lok, which should not come off as a surprise to anyone. Widely regarded as one of the best top laners in the world, this 2018 world champion led all LPL top laners with 129 kills to his name, while also boasting the highest damage numbers of anyone in his role. It is worth noting, however, TheShy also had the most deaths in the league this past split, so his KDA numbers are not all too impressive. Nonetheless, TheShy has proven to play a pivotal role in Invictus Gaming's success this season and is rightfully recognised as one of the best LPL players of 2020 Spring Split.
Joining TheShy in the first team is JD Gaming's jungler Seo "Kanavi" Jin-hyeok, who was also recognised as the 2020 LPL Spring Split Most-valuable player. With 151 kills and only 68 deaths to his name, the young jungler ended the season with an impressive 5.85 KDA, which might not be the highest KDA in the league, however, Kavavi contributions to his team this season span further than only his kill-death ratio. Kanavi had the highest damage numbers in his role and had a significant impact on the organisation's best regular-season finish to date. JD Gaming ended the 2020 LPL Spring Split second, which is a massive improvement compared to their LPL 2019 Summer Split which JD Gaming ended at 10th spot.
Moving down to the mid lane, we have no other than Kim "Doinb" Tae-sang, who put up another stellar split. The 23-year-old League of Legends veteran once again proved why he is one of the best mid laners in the world by racking up third-most kills of any LPL mid laners, while solidifying himself as FunPlus Phoenix's main carry by dealing 30.2% of his team's total damage throughout the split. Doinb also finished the regular season with an impressive 5.67 KDA, 73.9% KPAR, and 23.6% GS.
And finally, the bottom lane, where we have Invictus Gaming's new ADC main Ding "Puff" Wang and eStar support Liu "ShiauC" Chia-Hao, who both went above and beyond everyone's expectations with what they have shown this split. Puff entered 2020 season with huge shoes to fill, as he was tasked to take over for Yu "JackeyLove" Wen-Bo, who did not extend his contract with IG and later decided to join Top Esports. Despite all the pressure that was put on Puff to perform and deliver, the 21-year-old Chinese ADC showed up big time and ended the split with the most kills (205) out of all LPL players, while averaging a seriously impressive 5.18 Kills/Game, 4.52 KDA and 31.7% KS.
ShiauC's achievement, on the other side, is perhaps even more impressive, seeing how this was his first season in the LPL in his career, after he spent the last two years playing under Flash Wolves over in League of Legends Master Series (LMS). The 20-year-old support ended 2020 LPL Spring Split with the third-most assist (390) in the league to which he added 60 kills.
