PlayStation Cup Fortnite June 2023: All you need to know

Prepare for the June 2023 PlayStation Cup Tournament featuring Fortnite with this helpful event breakdown!

The Fortnite PlayStation Cup is back, and this time both core game modes are in the mix. The PlayStation Cup has a $250,000 prize pool and is open to all Fortnite regions around the world. In addition to cash prizes, participants will also receive a pair of exclusive sprays. Here’s everything you need to know about the upcoming PlayStation Cup tournament.

First, you must reach Bronze status in any ranked mode to be eligible Eligible for PlayStation Cup Battle Royale and Zero Build competitions. Each game mode has its own level, so you’ll need a bronze medal in both modes. Otherwise you will not be able to participate in tournaments on PlayStation.

These stand-alone battle royales and zero-build races give fans of both game modes everything they could want. Each game mode has two separate qualifiers. The top 50 Battle Royale and Zero Build qualifier teams advance to the PlayStation Cup Fortnite Finals.

The scoring system is similar to previous Fortnite tournaments, but with a slight change. Starting this month, players can earn points by opening vaults and capturing POIs in gaps. These are additional methods on top of the traditional elimination and placement points.

• Victory Battle Royale: 30 points
• Second place: 25 points
• Third place: 22 points
• Fourth place: 20 points
• Fifth place: 19 points
• Sixth place: 17 points
• Seventh place: 16 points
• Eighth place: 15 points
• Ninth place: 14 Points
• Tenth place: 13 points
• No. 11-15: 11 points
• 16-20: 9 points
• No. 21-25: 7 points
• 26-30: 5 points
• 31-35: 4 points
• 36-40: 3 points
• 41st-50th place: 2 points
• 51st-75th place: 1 point
• Each knockout round: 1 point for qualifying, 2 points for final
• Open the vault: 3 points
• Capture the Rift POI: 15 points

It’s important to know how many points you need to qualify for the PlayStation Cup Finals. In past campaigns, you’ve finished in the top 50 with scores between 115 and 139, but this may change with additional target scores.

Epic Games has clarified that there are two region locks for this tournament; one for zero builds and one for battle royale. That means if you choose to go that route, you can take part in zero builds in Europe and battle royales in North America. For more information, see the tweet above.

All regions are vying for a total of over $250,000 Prize pool, Europe lost the majority. Collect at least 8 points in Battle Royale and Zero Build to unlock the Cuddle Drop and Peely Drop Spray.
