Los Ratones, a team formed by renowned content creator Marc Robert “Caedrel” Lamont, is currently trending in the League of Legends community. They had their first performance at the Red Bull League of Its Own event in Paris, with one player in particular leaving a significant impression on the region.
Simon “Thebausffs” Hofverberg, whether admired, disliked or anything in between, never fails to draw attention. Indeed, all eyes were on him and his team, Los Ratones, after they debuted against the current World Champions. In an interview with Sheep Esports‘ Armand Luque, the popular streamer and former aspiring professional did not mince his words about European pro players’ work ethics.
Thebausffs has always been vocal about his views on League pro players, especially those from his home region of Europe — a region that hasn’t had much international success lately. In a stream before the event, when asked about the possibility of becoming a full-time pro player again, he labelled professional players as the “most lazy people in the world”. Furthermore, he pledged to reveal their “disgusting work ethic.”
Thebausffs reiterated in his interview that he’s hardly observed pro players practice alone. “They just peruse Twitter all day. There’s a distinct lack of work ethic, and it shows. That’s why we never win anything in Europe,” he said.
Caedrel has high hopes for Los Ratones, envisioning them vying for the top spot in the LEC, and potentially more. Thebausffs echoed this sentiment, suggesting that the team’s formation was not to gain social media followers but to strive for victory. “We didn’t form Los Ratones just to create fun content or jest; we did it to clinch every win.”
