After weeks of speculation, the upcoming League of Legends Assassin Nafiri is just around the corner. To celebrate the new hero, Riot Games released an exciting trailer that got players excited about her portrayal.
On June 21st, Riot announced the release of a title cinematic from Naafiri that will give you goosebumps. Without spoiling your first impression, I can tell you that Riot gave us a brief glimpse of Naafiri’s silhouette, but the real highlight of the trailer is her ravenous dog and unrelenting need to hunt.
Trailer will be out soon, Fans pouring into League em> subreddit to discuss Easter eggs and share your excitement about how awesome this Darkin Assassin looks.
“I shit” pants, this is awesome, can’t believe the previous monsters were Lilia, Yuumi, and shit lol,” said one player.
“OMG this is so cool, the animation is absolutely top notch. “One of the best championship cutscenes ever,” added another player.
But League players didn’t stop there Just days before Naafiri’s full reveal became available for players to test on the PBE servers, the community shared their thoughts on what to expect from Naafiri’s outfit:
“Hype from hell I bet the mechanics of the whole pack Most likely it has something to do with it” “She’ll spot the enemy and probably send out her pack to spot the enemy and apply some CC or slow them down or something. She seems to be merging with them as well,” said a player.
Naafiri will have a unique assassin mechanic that we will have in the League</em See > never seen before, and according to Riot, it’s designed to make their gear and gameplay feel “more alive, alive, and cleaner.” But it’s safe to say that this mechanic is as relevant as following her every step of the way.
Personally, I would love to see Naafiri blend with her hounds. Even though Naafiri lives to hunt, the most intriguing part of the trailer , at least to me, is her saying that even the victim has a choice – either run or make a last stand. Hopefully this will show up in the game and we’ll see how their enemies’ choices affect their gameplay.
Naafiri’s exact release date remains to be seen, but I think you can expect it to be any day, as cutscenes and champion reveals are usually only a few days apart.
