100 Thieves have announced the signing of Martin "MrSavage" Andersen, a 15-year-old Fortnite pro, who has established himself as one of the best Fortnite players in the world.
The Norwegian Fortnite pro started his career in May 2018, when he joined Public Enemy, where he remained until August the same year. Since January 2019, MrSavage has been playing under NRG Esports' banner and left the team on February 10, 2020. In the interview, MrSavage spoke about his career, saying he has been playing Fortnite competitively almost since the start while claiming his career-best achievement is his top-30 placement at Solo and Duos at Fortnite World Cup, for which he qualified four times.
"I'm 15 and that gives me the benefit because people [other players] are 20 or 20+, and are super old and have a worse reaction time, so it's a big benefit being younger," said MrSavage.
MrSavage spoke about his playstyle, describing it as unique.
"My playstyle is, I like playing passive, if I feel like I can get a kill then I usually go all-in on it. I only try to take fights when I actually need someone else’s gear," he said.
Back in September, MrSavage participated at Twitch Rivals: TwitchCon Fortnite Showdown, which featured US $1 million prize pool. The youngster alongside his teammates Richard “KingRichard” Nelson and “Rojo” finished fourth and pocketed $88,000 in tournament winnings.
