Summary of Chainsaw Man chapter 187
The battle intensifies against the Aging Devil and Public Safety, with Pochita’s devil core infiltrating their stronghold. Trapped in the Aging Devil’s alternate dimension, Denji builds up his hunger to supply almost limitless energy to his demonic alter-ego.
The Aging Devil orders Public Safety to step on Pochita’s exposed heart while they have the opportunity. Wounded agents stumble towards it, but Denji yanks on his chest cord, reviving Pochita, before they can eradicate the devil heart.
Pochita deals the Aging Devil a deadly blow, shredding it to pieces in a splash of blood. Nonetheless, it rapidly regenerates and oddly thanks Chainsaw Man for the inflicted painbefore entangling him in place.
Moving on, Denji focuses on a different tree-person. An ex-hunter, broken mentally, unsuccessfully tries to deter him and labels the teenager a devil.
Pochita continues savagely attacking the ancient devil, who remains aloof. As their choices dwindle and Denji’s stomach reaches maximum capacity, he pleads with Pochita to regurgitate a “useful devil.”
