The 19th stage-1-dreamleague-s20-2023-spotnet-dota-2/” title=”Liquid vs Tundra Game 1 | Bo2 | Group Stage 1 DreamLeague S20 2023 Spotnet Dota 2″>season of the ESL Pro League marks the comeback of the most prestigious Counter-Strike league in Saint Julian’s, Malta. The event brings together the world’s top teams, all vying for the championship title.
In this season, 32 teams will compete over a span of three weeks for the Intel Grand Slam V and a spot at IEM Cologne 2024.
Format of ESL Pro League Season 19
The teams are split into four groups, each containing eight teams.
The teams will compete in triple-elimination brackets, with all matches being best-of-three. The top four teams from each group will then advance to the Playoffs.
Simultaneously, the winners of each group secure their places in the Quarterfinals, while the second-place teams move on to the Round of 12.
Teams that finish third and fourth enter the competition in the Round of 16.
The Playoffs, scheduled from May 7 to 12, then transition to a single-elimination bracket involving the top 16 teams.
Like the previous stages, matches are still best-of-three, except for the Grand Final, which is a best-of-five match to determine the champion.
All matches starting from the third and fourth Quarterfinals are played live on stage.
