The 2024 Call of Duty League season is currently halfway through, with the commencement of the online qualifier matches for Major Three. Atlanta FaZe re-established their dominance in the CDL by winning the Major Two title in March, taking place in Miami. After a pause of approximately two weeks, the intense CoD competitions resumed on April 12 and will continue until May 12, advancing the way to Major Three in Toronto from May 16 to 19.
During this break, five CDL teams decided to make roster adjustments, with the aim of possibly rejuvenating their squads ahead of the season’s second half. Some significant changes include Boston Breach dropping veterans SlasheR and Asim for Beans and Pentagrxm, while the Minnesota RØKKR substituted Gunless and Standy for Owakening and Vivid. ReeaL is being given another chance by Miami Heretics after he had visa problems earlier in the season. The Los Angeles Thieves have reinstated JoeDeceives to the lineup and rookie 04 will be making his CDL debut for the Seattle Surge, taking over from former world champion, Arcitys.
In addition to these roster modifications, the CDL map set has been altered. New entries Vista and 6 Star have replaced Invasion and Skidrow for Hardpoint. Similarly, 6 Star will replace Terminal for Search and Destroy. In the coming month, all twelve CDL franchises will have the opportunity to explore these new maps during their seven qualifying rounds. All this is in preparation for establishing their seeding for Major Three held in Toronto. The results for the 2024 CDL Major Three online qualifiers will be updated here.
