As players retain an expanding cast of characters, the need to gather experience materials or “XP books” also grows.
These books provide players the means to boost their characters to the highest level of 90 instantaneously.
Yet, amassing these books for an individual unit constitutes quite a substantial effort.

While you can gain XP points by completing quests and battling monsters, using the books is the quickest way for characters to level up.
To reach the maximum level of 90, you need a total of 8,362,650 points. We can approximately break it down to 421 Hero’s Wits, the top-tier books in the game.
The lower-tier items, Wanderer’s Advice (Green) and Adventurer’s Experience (Blue), give 1,000 and 5,000 points respectively. Whereas, a single Hero’s Wit offers 20,000 points.
It’s worth highlighting that increasing levels requires more books, significantly beyond a certain point. Streamer Michael “Mtashed” Tash argued that by keeping your DPS character at 89, you could spare 28 Hero’s Wits. At max level, DPS units gain merely four more Attack points.
Reaching level 90 is most beneficial for support units that utilize HP and Defense given their primary statistics receive a meaningful upgrade. Anemo characters also gain from hitting the final level as Swirl damage scales with a character’s level.
The simplest method to gather XP books in Genshin Impact
The most straightforward way to accumulate these materials is via Blossoms of Revelation, denoted by a light blue sphere on your in-game map. They become accessible once you achieve AR 12.
Although the lower-tier books, Wanderer’s Advice and Adventurer’s Experience, are readily available, Hero’s Wits don’t appear in the loot pool until you’ve beaten Ascension Quest 2 and raised your game to World Level 4.
This count continues to rise with each enhancement of your World Level. The optimal level for farming is World Level 6 since the strength of the adversaries remains capped at level 78.
