There will be a brand new Street Fighter VI tournament hosted by Intel this weekend. The Intel Plays 2023 Street Fighter 6 Invitational is a new tournament that brings together some of the best in fighting game esports.
Intel Plays Invitational will have the opportunity to host some of the best View Players Enter matches and see how much the game has improved in the weeks since Street Fighter VI was released. Here’s how tournaments work and what you should be aware of.
Intel Plays 2023 Street Fighter 6 Invitational
The Intel Plays 2023 Street Fighter 6 Invitational is held over the weekend A new tournament. This is a chance to see some of the major players competing in the new game. The prize pool is good at $5,000. However, only 8 players will participate. Four players will come from the results of Intel PAX East 2023, and another four players will be invited based on their performance in other tournaments.
The format of the Intel Plays 2023 Street Fighter VI Invitational is fairly simple. We start with the group stage. There are 2 groups of 4 players each. You compete in a double-elimination bracket for each set. No one was eliminated in this round, but it did set the seeds for the actual round. These early confrontations will give us quite a bit of information about how players will compete against each other.
Once we reach the final round of the Intel Plays 2023 Street Fighter VI Invitational, there will be a playoff series. It’s a double-elimination tournament where the top-ranked players in the group start at the top and the rest stay at the bottom. They compete against each other in one-on-one matches until we find the ultimate winner.

We’re yet to play a truly full-fledged tournament like EVO 2023 that lays the groundwork for the future of Street Fighter VI. However, this game will give us our first look at all of this in action.
