Recap of Kaiju no 8 chapter 119
In the previous installment, Chapter 119 of Kaiju no 8, Mina Ashiro attentively observes Kafka Hibino, who appears to be lifeless. Even though medical personnel reported no signs of life, a twitch in Kafka’s wrist was spotted by Mina.
Mina remembers a prior battle where Kafka had gone back to his human form after passing out. However, despite suffering core damage, he remained in his kaiju form, giving Mina reasons to deduce that he was still fighting to survive.
While Kafka was internally battling his circumstances, the battlefield was witness to an intense face-off between Gen Narumi, Soshiro Hoshina, and the colossal Kaiju no 9. With their energy levels deteriorating, Narumi’s suit was at a mere fifteen percent functionality and Hoshina’s was at twelve percent.
Hoshina found himself struggling to make successful strikes as the kaiju seemed to predict all his moves. He then gathers that the kaiju was actually composed of hundreds of smaller entities allowing it, as a collective body, to accurately predict their actions.
